License Agreement

Read the following license agreement carefully before clicking on the download button below.  When you click the download button you are indicating your complete and unconditional acceptance of the terms of this agreement. 

If you do not agree with the terms of this license, do not click the download button to download the software.

  1. Pine Tree Computing, LLC grants you a non-exclusive single seat license to use the shareware software you are downloading.  This license allows you to install the shareware software on a single computer.  If you wish, you may load the shareware software on a network server as long as you only install and run the shareware software on a single computer.
  2. Due to the nature of shareware software, the version of the software you are downloading may have some features disabled in it's downloaded form.  Disabled features may be enabled with the acceptance of your shareware donation by Pine Tree Computing, LLC and when Pine Tree Computing, LLC issues you a new full-featured product code.  In the event that Pine Tree Computing, LLC issues you such a code, it is your responsibility to protect the confidential nature of the product code.  Pine Tree Computing, LLC reserves the right to seek damages, real and otherwise, including but not limited to, loss of monetary income, from you should you fail to keep the product code(s) issued to you confidential.
  3. This software is provided without warranty or support.  At it's discretion , Pine Tree Computing, LLC may choose to provide support on either a free or chargeable basis.
  4. Pine Tree Computing, LLC summarily rejects all liability resulting from your use of this software including, but not limited to, loss of data and/or value, monetary or otherwise.  Use this software at your own risk.
  5. Pine Tree Computing, LLC is not liable for any losses you may incur from viruses that may be inadvertently distributed with our software.  Pine Tree Computing, LLC practices safe computing and runs updated virus checkers frequently.
  6. This software is copyrighted software.  You may not copy or distribute this software.  When supplied, it is your responsibility to protect and keep in confidence your CD or product key.
  7. If this software is an upgrade to a previously held version, you may not transfer the prior version to another person or entity.
  8. You may not repackage and/or redistribute this software in any manner without the express written consent of Pine Tree Computing, LLC.
  9. You agree that this software will not be shipped, transferred, or exported into any country or used in any manner prohibited by the United States Export Administration Act or any other United States export laws, restrictions, or regulations.
  10. The use of this software for the development of military technology is expressly forbidden without the express written consent of Pine Tree Computing, LLC and all applicable United States goverment entities.
  11. This License Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA.  You agree any dispute or claim made against the provisions of this License Agreement shall be adjudicated exclusively in a court having jurisdiction within St. Louis County, the State of Missouri, USA, applying State of Missouri Law without regard to conflicts of laws of other jurisdictions.
  12. This License Agreement will not be governed by the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, the application of which is expressly excluded.
  13. In the event any part of this License Agreement should be found void and unenforceable the remaining parts shall remain valid and enforceable.
  14. This License Agreement and your right to use the software shall automatically terminate upon your failure to comply with any of the terms of this License Agreement.

PC Control Mode

Almost all newer Olympus Cameras must be put into PC Control Mode before they can be used with Camera Controller.  Please see the instructions at http://www.pinetreecomputing.com/camctl_control_mode.asp for details on placing your camera in PC Control Mode.

Firmware Versions

Many Olympus cameras require a minimum firmware version in order to work with Camera Controller.  Please check your camera firmware against the list at http://www.pinetreecomputing.com/camctl_cameralist.asp and upgrade your camera to at least the minimum firmware version before using Camera Controller.
